• Explanation : Jesus reprimands people who go to celebrations and directly take the front seats, because they overestimate themselves. When a more important guest comes, they have to go to the lowest place. How embarrassing that will be for them. Jesus advises, “Better go to the lowest place, and the guest-master will invite you to come to a higher place. You will be honored” (Luc 14:14-17).

• Penjelasan : Yesus menegur mereka yang suka pergi ke pesta-pesta dan langsung mengambil tempat yang paling terhormat, karena merasa diri sangat penting. Bilamana datang seorang tamu yang lebih penting, mereka disuruh duduk di belakang. Betapa memalukan. Yesus menasehati, “Bilamana diundang ke pesta, duduklah di belakang. Maka kemudian kamu akan dipersilahkan oleh tuan rumah untuk duduk di tempat yang terhormat. Kamu akan dihormati” (Luk 14:14-17).
