130th Painting
  • Title: The Sign of Moses’ Serpent
  • Painter : L.S. ’17 (L. Sugiri SJ, 2017)
  • Acrylic on Canvas : 70 x 90 cm
  • Explanation : Jesus did not give divine signs anymore to the Pharisees. He only gave the sign of the prophet Jonah and the sign of Moses’ Serpent, snake. Just as Jonah until the third day dwelled in the stomach of the big Fish, Jesus dwelled until the third day in the earth. Just as the people had to focus on the copper serpent raised up on a pole to be saved from deadly poison, Jesus would also be raised up at the Cross for people to be saved, when they look at Him. (John 3:14-21; Exd 21:4-9)
Lukisan ke-130
  • Judul : Tanda Nabi Musa
  • Pelukis : L.S. ’17 (L. Sugiri SJ, 2017)
